"Like" Ability?

Substack is in control...or is it?

Substack has (temporarily or permanently?) suspended my "like" ability without explanation, and I guess they thought that would shut me up. Since mid May (2024). Nothing from their tech support so far. I can “like” posts but not comments, even my own.

Is your “like” ability suspended too? I have seen others comment on this, here for example.

I’ve tried everything to fix it: refreshing the page, clearing the browser cache, using a different browser, using a different country in my VPN. Nothing works. The problem is obviously with my Substack account, but is hidden and inaccessible to me. Substack is messing with me.

I think Substack’s agenda is to corral and gauge dissent, and the moment it coalesces to become organized to squelch it there. But they still seem to have to allow some communication, like a sort of democracy wall, even if the organizing has to happen elsewhere, like hopefully in front of the courthouse.

Substack may sell backdoors to Big Brother and his friends, in which case their tech support may not even know about problems like this, let alone have fixes.
