What if some of the normies who won’t switch beliefs *are* independent thinkers. Let’s call them jaded…
…and they just go along with the narrative chosen for them because of convenience and they are (they think) playing the probabilities.
Our situation has a number of features, and the right combination of those features corresponds to our reality. If any one of those features is not true, the combination is not real. If all of them are true, the combination is real, it describes our reality.
The pathocrats, like Monty Hall and unlike We The People, know which combination among the possible combinations is real. A combination is shown in the controlled media, but that has at most a random chance of being real.
The jaded, out of convenience but not conviction, go with the combination shown in the controlled media, while they see other combinations one by one shown by events as not real.
As the false combinations are revealed, the jaded have a chance to switch their belief to another unrevealed combination, but they don’t. They don’t because they think their combination has a slightly greater chance of being real than it did before some combinations were eliminated.
But the fact is, the combination they believe in, even if it was initially chosen at random (which it isn’t), has a *smaller* chance of being real relative to other unrevealed combinations after some are eliminated.
This is not intuitive, its called a veridical paradox, the "Monty Hall problem".
Events add value to the combinations not eliminated, but not to the one chosen by the jaded originally. Switching beliefs to a different combination is a different action from choosing between the remaining combinations at random, as the former action uses the information provided by events and the latter does not.
Or in simpler terms, the normies are brainwashed. Most of my successful friends have a sort of societal Stockholm syndrome where they are unable to see the abusers for what they really are because they contribute all the good in their life to them. It's maddening.
